Engine troubles are never pleasant to deal with, especially if you're told that your engine is blown. This can signify a number of different issues but typically means there has been a major failure within the engine that will require either a full-on replacement or some rebuilding. You could have a blown bottom end or a blown head gasket, which are the most common issues when referring to a blown engine. Can either of these problems be fixed, and are they worth fixing? First, let's understand what a blown bottom end is within the engine.
